F*ck perfectionism, have you ever seen the rain (?) & reader Q/A

Many of you are so concerned with being perfect in your content. This could be any type of content: your emails, social media posts, blog posts, podcast episodes, etc.

Stop trying to be so perfect and buttoned up!!! (unless that’s genuinely how you are as a person, but I’m guessing it’s not?)

Your content can be fun. It can show your personality. It doesn’t have to be all about what you do and who you serve. Because there’s probably a million people doing what you do.

What sets you apart? SHOW THAT.

STUFF U SHOULD LOOK AT

My boyfriend Zach introduced me to Jesse Welles. He writes songs about political/social topics & I can’t stop listening. His cover of Have You Ever Seen The Rain is beautiful.

READER Q/A

Matt asked me:

“I’m starting a business in the medical field, and I want to find the balance between being being myself/unique/creative through my marketing, but also being professional. Do you have any advice on that?”

You can be yourself, unique, and creative through your marketing while still being professional! More than anything, people want to know more about the person they’re buying from (in this case, the person they’re getting medical care from). Who’s to say you can’t send an email going over your services and then at the end, tell us more about the brewery you’re trying on Saturday???? This creates KNOW, LIKE, TRUST.

You are a human being. Your future clients want to see that.

Thanks for the question, Matt!
