It’s easier to think and fantasize about the work, than actually do the work.
And as soon as the doing starts, it’s usually not as fun. We move onto the next thing, and the cycle keeps repeating.
Is it the quick dopamine rush that keeps us coming back for more? Or, is it simply the relief we feel for having an excuse to stop doing the work…
“It’s not that I quit early… It just wasn’t working!”
Social media has made us lazy. Distracted. Easy targets for marketers to reel us in, sink their teeth into us, and inevitably, steal a few $$$s out of our back pockets. C’mon people! We are smarter than that! Tougher than that! We should know by now!
But how could we have known?
The trends, the fads, the bullshit strategies and clickbait…it’s all a distraction to keep us from moving forward and realizing one important thing:
There is no secret strategy. There is only the work.
